It’s hard to believe that R-Truth is 45, especially when you see him bust out corkscrew scissor kicks and flying forearms. In terms of his physique and that enduring athleticism, there are few over 40 that can rival Truth. The only problem is, the company doesn't really let him showcase that.

For the past few years, Truth’s been consistently used as a comedy performer, whether as part of a tag team alongside Goldust or in singles action, when he had the gimmick of continually forgetting what he was even supposed to be doing. Then, when they finally gave him a decent storyline, they still managed to shortchange him with the payoff. His recent feud with Goldust was shaping up to be better than it had any right to be, only for the blow-off to arrive in a six-minute match on a throwaway episode of Raw.

Overlooking that booking, to look and move like he does at 45 is really quite impressive. It’s just a shame the company’s incapable of using him as anything other than a jobber.
