10 Best Wrestlers In WWE Over The Age Of 40
6. Matt Hardy
As much as the little kid in me doesn’t want to admit it, Matt Hardy is now 42 years old. Or at least, that’s what his birth certificate says. If you factor in all those bumps he’s taken through tables and off of ladders, his body probably feels closer to 62.
Even at the wrong side of 40, though, Matt’s still riding high in the tag team division. Up until recently, he was enjoying his 12th World tag team title reign—a résumé that includes eight won under the WWE umbrella, two in TNA and one apiece from ROH and WCW.
These days, it’s his character work that’s arguably his standout quality, but as he proved at WrestleMania 33, he can still deliver the goods when needed. As long as what you mean by ‘goods’ is hitting Twists of Fate from the top of ladders.
Like many on this list, he’s clearly slowing down, with his body feeling the effects of making the ladder match part of your gimmick, but if you’re still producing pops like this at 42, then you must be doing something right.
