10 Best Wrestlers Of 2024

9. Hangman Page

Best Wrestlers Of 2024
AEW

Hangman Page's heel-turn-that-might-not-even-really-be-a-heel-turn has completely reinvigorated the man, his matches and large elements of All Elite Wrestling's uneven output in 2024.

Though the former AEW Champion engaged in strong scraps with legacy rival Swerve Strickland in the early half of the year, it was his return in the Owen Hart Cup that began a transformational arc for both performer and promotion.

After cruelly dispatching Jeff Jarrett just days removed from 'Double J' pouring his heart and soul out to the world about why the tournament meant so much to him, Page fell further into his own dark psyche when he lost the chance to face Strickland at Wembley thanks to defeat against Bryan Danielson. Plan B stood for Blood & Guts, which he entered alongside The Elite in yet another attempt to claim the redemption he craved.

That was at long last arrived at in the form of an epic and grisly Steel Cage showdown with the now-former titleholder at All Out, but Page topped that headliner in the opening slot a month later. The WrestleDream opener against Jay White was one of the most thrilling of either man's year, and set 'Switchblade' on his own new path as a babyface whilst preserving the sad sense that all can never be well for this version of the Hangman.
