10 Best Wrestlers Over 45 Years Old In The World Today
8. Atlantis
While The Undertaker has been a force in WWE for a quarter of century, he's still a few years short of the achievements of lucha libre legend Atlantis. For more than 30years, El idolo de los niƱos has been a superstar in Mexico's Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre and today he's arguably the country's greatest active legend. From 1984 to 2005 Atlantis was one of the company's most popular babyfaces, but when his popularity started to wane, CMLL made a bold move - they turned the legend rudo, but still kept up his rapport with the company's younger fans (if WWE ever turns John Cena, they can take a note). The turn revitalized Atlantis's career and, six years later, he was a successful babyface once more. Like The Undertaker, Atlantis has scored some of his greatest victories in recent years. At CMLL's 81st Anniversary Show in 2014, he beat fellow legend Ultimo Guerrero in a classic mask versus mask match. At the following year's event, he beat young superstar La Sombra for his mask in another incredible bout. Clearly, the 53-year-old still knows what makes a great match.
