10 Best Wrestlers Over 45 Years Old In The World Today
6. Jushin Liger
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Jushin Liger established himself as one of the top junior heavyweights in wrestling history via classic matches with the likes of Owen Hart, Naoki Sano, and The Great Sasuke. As the 90s wore on and Liger started cementing his legacy, he also became a regular in World Championship Wrestling. The high-flying grappler was becoming a superstar on both sides of the Pacific. Liger has worked continuously since then, and while the 51-year-old may not be doing any Shooting Star Presses these days, he's got a command of wrestling psychology that makes his matches special - often incredible. In his 40s, he broke into Ring of Honor and Consejo Mundiale de Lucha Libre, winning the latter company's prestigious Universal Championship in 2010. Perhaps the best indicator of Liger's talent is that, just last year, WWE invited him to perform at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn before a sold-out crowd at Barclays Center. Liger defeated Tyler Breeze and, in the process, added another accolade to his amazing legacy.
