10 Best Wrestling Matches In Non-Wrestling Movies
7. Fred & John Cena Vs. Mr. Devlin & Kevin - Fred 2: Night Of The Living Fred
We're now leaving the realms of reality behind and jumping into the world of professional wrestling, starting with one of the most popular WWE superstars of all time teaming with one of the most popular YouTube stars of all time in a dream sequence that was indeed filmed in front of a live audience at a SmackDown taping. This is the effort that went into making Fred 2.
Was it worth it? No.
A sequel to the as-awful-as-expected Fred: The Movie, the title character played by Lucas Cruikshank believes his music teacher Mr. Devlin to be a vampire because he saw him burying something in his yard and he doesn't like garlic. As you can tell, Fred is an idiot.
In the Fred movies, he lives with his single mother and often fantasizes about what his real dad would be like. The dad he comes up with is John Cena, literally the only entertaining thing in the films as he spends screen time busting out wrestling moves on Fred himself. In this sequel, Cena appears and takes Fred to SmackDown to face both Devlin and his school bully Kevin in a tornado tag contest.
Cena dominates Devlin but Fred is manhandled by Kevin, pulling off a couple of admittedly entertaining spots. The match ends after Fred is thrown over the top rope and he lands back in bed, waking from his weird dream.
