10 Best Wrestling Matches Of The Week (August 1)

I debated strongly which match I liked better between the top two matches this week, but in the end the Falls Count Anywhere Match between Cage and The Mack won out for me.

Tons of weaponry were used in this one including stop signs, 2x4's, and even a cooler of adult beverages. Willie Mack used those drinks to pull off a Stone Cold-inspired Stunner sequence that the crowd went nuts over.

They battled all throughout the arena and almost completely ignored the ring. The big moves felt like they were constantly coming and without end in this match. It was exciting. They hurled each other through doors and shot fire extinguishers into faces. The Mack Powerbombed Cage through a table from the apron to the outside at one point for a good nearfall.

The biggest and most brutal move of the match was the finale. Cage curb stomped The Mack's face through a cinder block and it was brutal. Sure, those things are gimmicked but it still was awesome to see that cinder block turn to dust because of Mack's face getting stomped into it.

Cage pinned his foe to end this match and set the bar extremely high for the rest of Ultima Lucha. Kudos to both men, this was a treat to watch.
