6. The New Day vs. The Lucha Dragons (Smackdown)
Smackdown had no problem giving the tag team division plenty of focus this week. The Prime Time Players joined the already crowded announce team to call this match between The New Day and The Lucha Dragons.
There were plenty of fun spots in this and you have to wonder when Kalisto & Sin Cara are going to get their chance to challenge for the Tag Team Championships. Titus briefly commented about how exciting a triple threat tag match with Lucha Dragons would be at Battleground, but he was just trying to put them over. Hopefully the Dragons get inserted into the spotlight by SummerSlam, but this great match on Smackdown is at least something for now.
My favorite move in this was a beautiful Salina del Sol that Kalisto hit onto Big E. Because of their substantial size differential they usually are the source of good spots. Kofi dove off of the top rope to assist in their double-team Big Ending to set up the win for New Day.
Post-match, New Day did what they do best and talked a whole lot of smack to Darren Young & Titus O'Neil. When PTP stepped up to answer all that talk, New Day retreated.
