10 Best Wrestling Matches Of The Week (July 18)

7. Cesaro vs. Rusev (Smackdown)

As if one amazing showdown between these two wasn't enough for this week, they go and do it again. In a rematch of sorts from their stellar triple threat match on Raw (minus Kevin Owens this time), Cesaro and Rusev tangled on Smackdown.

This go around was a step or two behind the Raw match but that's a hard standard to match. Cesaro and Rusev still wrestled a good, physical bout. The total match time was just shy of fourteen minutes. Anytime WWE wants to put Cesaro in the ring with just about anybody for that long, there won't be any complaints from me.

The real excitement came at the finish when Rusev attempted a diving move off of the top turnbuckle, only to be met with a Cesaro uppercut. Cesaro then applied his Neutralizer and successfully pinned the Bulgarian Brute.

This victory makes Cesaro only the second man in WWE to have ever pinned Rusev. The other man is John Cena.
