3. Hiroshi Tanahashi Vs. Minoru Suzuki - King Of Pro-Wrestling 2012

The true greats in wrestling are unique, and that applies to Minoru Suzuki - and then some. One of the pioneers of mixed martial arts, Suzuki got his start in shoot style wrestling and then, after retiring from MMA, he came back to pro wrestling with a stiff repertoire and a surly attitude. Eventually, he would win All Japan's Triple Crown Championship.

Meanwhile, Hiroshi Tanahashi emerged as New Japan's Ace, not only carrying the company but actually turning business around. When Suzuki left All Japan for New Japan, a showdown between the men seemed inevitable, and sure enough, they clashed in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom VI. Tanahashi won, but when Suzuki defeated "The High-Flying Star" in the G1 Climax, he earned another title shot at King of Pro-Wrestling 2012.

This match blew their other contest away and saw the ageless Suzuki do his best to bully Tanahashi into giving up the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Tanahashi, of course, fought back wholeheartedly, working Suzuki's leg in order to weaken him. Both men traded submissions, and Suzuki resorted to some MMA-style holds, but Tanahashi came out the victor with the High Fly Flow, proving himself to be the best in the world.
