10 Best Wrestling Tag Teams Of 2019 (So Far)

2. The Viking Raiders

Many could and would argue that The War Raiders had the best tag match of 2019 - your writer among them - but no longer can the pair's year be discussed without placing just as much focus on a catastrophic call-up that came just a week removed from that instantly iconic outing.

It's hard to enjoy Erik and Ivar, The Viking Raiders (formerly The Viking Experience, like you didn't know that), but they're not just a loose approximation of the once-great NXT act Rowe and Hanson - they're a pair robbed of the agency and authority that came with the push that earned the promotion in the first place.

Undefined as neither hated heels nor brave babyfaces, they're instead just big angry b*stards that haven't yet even been asked to assemble anything resembling the stone cold classic from April's TakeOver: New York. And it's not as if that was an outlier - the pair were routinely knocking together exceptional efforts before getting the main roster nod.

A half a year cut in half by the call-up, it remains to be seen if the pair can turn things around to end the annum as they'd started it.
