Rhino's bloodlust was one of Paul Heyman's final creative masterstrokes as ECW finally hit the skids in 2000. As the show's biggest new heel and most promising new star during its last year, 'The Man-Beast' was a walking, talking, shouting, screaming threat any time he was within 10 foot of a live microphone or camera, but some of his finest work emerged from the company's very last days alive.

Fitting really, because he was into killing everything back then anyway.

Not content with mere violence, Rhino chewed up the scenery during the organisation's dying days, including a spirited spewing towards The Sandman during the final ever pay-per-view. After dropping F-bombs on the New York City natives, the group's Television Champion rather astutely noted how pointless that prize was as long as there was no television slot to speak of.

To this end, he immediately challenged new ECW Heavyweight Champion The Sandman under threat of murdering his family. Rhino had previously noted how folk were willing to die for the top prize in the 'Land Of Extreme' - he was willing to kill for it. Having piledriven Sandman's wife Lori through a table months earlier, he'd even removed the shred of doubt behind his wild words.
