10 Best WWE Attitude Era PPVs

4. WrestleMania XIV (1998)

Jim Ross said it best when he said "The Austin Era has begun!" Aside from the infamous main event featuring Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin and Mike Tyson, WrestleMania XIV is filled with great matches that are often overlooked due the notoriety of the main event. When people talk about Triple H's great feuds, no-one ever really mentions Owen Hart, which is a shame because they had a great series of matches around this time, with this being one of the best. WWF even tried its hand at cruiserweight action with Taka Michinoku v Aguila, but could never seem to commit to the division during the Attitude Era. Ken Shamrock's match against The Rock can't be overlooked, as the intensity in Shamrock's eyes is burned into the mind of anyone who's seen it, and the participants in the "Dumpster Match" manage to make it a captivating viewing despite it sounding like, well, garbage. Finally, WrestleMania XIV features the very first match between The Undertaker and his brother Kane, and it's arguably the best match the two ever had. The feud had been building since the autumn of the previous year, and fans were on champing at the bit to see the two behemoths collide. In the end it took The Undertaker three tombstones to defeat his brother, and while The Deadman did win, this is the match that truly made Kane a star. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dn1lIEjO9t0
