10 Best WWE Championship Reigns Of The 2010s

6. Seth Rollins (March-November 2015)

Seth Rollins might have been a heel when he cashed in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania 31, but he got some of the biggest cheers of the night.

It meant that neither Brock Lesnar nor Roman Reigns would be leaving with the gold, either of which would have been an absolute disaster. Now the company had a fresh, young champion with the backing of a massive heel stable (The Authority) behind him. That was very exciting.

The contents of Rollins' reign were mixed. His matches with Randy Orton and Kane left a lot to be desired, but his battles with Dean Ambrose and John Cena were much better. He also holds the distinction of being Sting's one and only WWE Championship opponent, which is something to put on the CV.

Tragically, this reign ended when Rollins blew out his knee at a house show, leading to the title being vacated after 221 days.

This was Seth's coming of age as a top performer, and whilst he wasn't always at his best, there were plenty of glimpses into the greatness that was to come.
