10 Best WWE Matches Of 2018 (So Far)

3. Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey Vs. Triple H & Stephanie McMahon (WrestleMania 34)

That this match is our highest-placing main roster bout of the year so far is as big an indictment of the mainline in-ring product as it is a credit to Ronda Rousey, who starred in what might be the most electric debut match in WWE history.

Putting her with Triple H and Kurt Angle was a smart move. The experienced duo helped craft a layout that accentuated Ronda's strengths, but while a cynic would attribute the match's quality to repeated rehearsals, the former UFC Champion was outstanding in all aspects of her performance.

Her presence was off the charts, her facials sublime, and her timing impeccable. In one match, Rousey demonstrated an aptitude towards core pro-wrestling intangibles that not only belied her inexperience, but put her above many who've been in the sport for decades. Take nothing away from Triple H as the architect or Stephanie's sublime chickens*** heel work, but Ronda was the star.

'Rowdy' proved 'Mania wasn't beginner's luck at Money In The Bank, somehow dragging the green Nia Jax to the best main roster match of her career. She's the real deal. Jump aboard the bandwagon, or risk getting run over.
