Eight nights after Battleground, the brothers Dust received a Tag Team title match at The Shield (the belts weren't on the line at the pay-per-view), and there would be no disqualifications. It was going to be hard to top the first meeting, but they were game to try. All they had to do was follow the formula of heroes vs. scoundrels once more.
The chaotic brawl (which had regular tags for whatever reason) built heat masterfully up to the ending sequence, which saw Ambrose interfering once more. Big Show, now firmly opposed to the Authority, hit the ring late to physically disperse the trio, and even knocked out less-protected Reigns, allowing Rhodes to pin the current and forever WWE Champion.
