10 Best WWE Matches That Ever Happened At Nassau Colliseum
8. Rey Mysterio Vs. Kurt Angle - SummerSlam 2002
Summerslam 2002 was an incredible pay-per-view during a pretty challenging year for WWE. The previous two big shows, Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, had to be considered disappointments, given the hype. Thankfully the summer spectacular was a major improvement and boasted many great matches. Kicking off the event was Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio's first time meeting. This was also Rey's first major WWE match (and first WWE PPV appearance) and a big test for the masked man (whom WWE higher ups weren't yet convinced about). Rey and Angle proved to have instant chemistry with one another and their match almost stole the show. The match got off to a hot start, with Rey popping up behind Angle and hitting him with a springboard headscissors. The pace never let up as the two engaged in a break-neck contest filled with suplexes and mat wrestling from Angle and the always-impressive lucha offence from Rey. In the end Angle got the win, making Rey tap to the ankle lock.
