10 Best WWE Performers Of 2018 (So Far)
6. Asuka
Asuka is the only female wrestler featured on this list, which is a reflection of the sorry fact that the WWE women's division has enjoyed a sub-par first half of 2018 relative to the dizzy heights of the last two years.
All of its best moments have featured Asuka, who began the year with a history-making win in the inaugural female Royal Rumble, and then followed it up with arguably WrestleMania 34's best match alongside Charlotte Flair.
And yes, she was ultimately defeated on the Grandest Stage of Them All. That's her one black mark on what was otherwise a stellar first eight months on the main roster. But that can hardly be attributed to anything she did wrong.
The fans were right on her side up until the final bell, and it was only the company's apparent desire to position Charlotte as its leading woman ahead of a potential clash with Rousey that swung it the other way.
