When folk get glassy-eyed and speak of some wonderful time when Trish Stratus and Lita were blowing folks out of the water, they are quite literally speaking about this match and nothing else. It was Trish's last too, and these long-time rivals went all out to put on a show that would live long in the memory.

They succeeded, and then some. Trish was clearly battling back emotions from the get-go, something that was more than understandable given the circumstances and the location. Not everyone gets to have their retirement match be for a championship in their home town after all.

Trish picked up the win after Lita tapped out whilst locked in Canada's official submission move, the Sharpshooter. The title would be vacated the next night.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
