10 Best WWE Promos Of 2018

8. The Miz Mocks Daniel Bryan's Indy Achievements (SmackDown - 31 July)

The Miz will probably never top his 2016 Talking Smack rant, but that one bug-eyed promo raised the bar for what could be expected of him as a talker. In the process, it gave him a template to work from whenever he picked up a microphone, and it definitely cemented him as one of WWE's best promo men.

On 31 July, he proved it all over again by taking Daniel Bryan's 'indy-level whining' to task.

Bryan's promo and replies were solid enough, and yet they couldn't hold a candle to Miz's fiery tirade about Daniel's shortcomings or his impassioned plea for the babyface to move on from his 'Yes Movement' days. In just a few short sentences, Miz came across as a bully, coward, master manipulator and complete jerk as he dismissed all of Bryan's hard work and claimed he'd been riding his coat tails for years.

This should be a lesson to anyone who wants to play a heel properly, even in 2018, There's still heat to get if one works hard enough to seek it out and, most importantly, refuses to bow down to some rebellious cheering from fans who just like the bad guys.
