10 Best WWE Raw Brand PPVs Ever
9. Vengeance 2006
There was something in the air as spring turned to summer in 2006...
With a motivated group of ECW originals in the picture, there was a larger feeling of eagerness among the WWE roster. That was the case at Vengeance, a forgotten show that produced such underrated gems as John Cena and Sabu's frenzied lumberjack match, and Rob Van Dam's retaining of the WWE Championship over Edge.
Most criminally underrated was a triple threat Intercontinental title match featuring Shelton Benjamin, Carlito, and Johnny Nitro, with all three men busting out high-risk offense (Carlito's double-spring flip to the outside comes to mind) in order to try and steal the show.
It was Attitude Era-level energy with an evolutionary feel, and it showed.
