Raw 1000 is memorable for AJ Lee ditching Daniel Bryan at the alter and becoming new Raw GM, The Brothers Of Destruction and D-Generation X reuniting to batter jobbers and CM Punk blasting The Rock with a show-ending GTS. That's what you get for "boxing with God", Rocky.

What a moment this was.

Punk, who had been flying the flag for fans as WWE Champ since the prior year, was suddenly turned into a jealous heel who couldn't stomach Dwayne Johnson's Hollywood lifestyle. The beauty in this one came from Punk's idealistic view of a WWE system sans politics, celebrity pandering or part-time returns.

It had touches of reality, and that's what made it special. Plus, there was zero explanation from Punk on the night for his decision to stop a People's Elbow and crack Rocky's face with his knee. All fans got was a frosty glare.
