6. Seth Rollins Breaks The Shield (2 June 2014)

2 June 2014's Raw opened with Batista quitting Evolution and returning to Hollywood. In storyline, it seemed like The Shield (who had been feuding with the group) had won the fight, and that they'd go on to bigger and better things. They would, just not as a collective.

"Plan B" happened instead.

Before Dean Ambrose could face Randy Orton in the planned main event, Triple H revealed that he had something else up his sleeve to hurt The Shield. Seconds later, Seth Rollins hit Roman Reigns and Ambrose with a barrage of chair shots and hooked up with The Authority. Meanwhile, fans were distraught.

WWE had to be happy with the response. They created a new top heel, broke some hearts and guaranteed themselves months and months of easy pay-per-view main events for the rest of the year in one segment. Not only that, they had people dying to know why Seth turned on his so-called brothers.
