1. Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler (March 30)
At WrestleMania 31, Daniel Bryan captured the WWE Intercontinental Title during the show-opening multi-man Ladder Match. Fans were delighted, because hopes were high that Bryan would spearhead the secondary title's chance of being taken more seriously by management. Injury would stop that from happening in the long term, but it couldn't stop one excellent encounter. The night after 'Mania, Bryan was booked to work with Dolph Ziggler and defend the championship. Following an opening segment involving Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar, Ziggler and Bryan had a supreme wrestling match. Unlike some others on this list, it wasn't length which contributed to making it great. Indeed, these guys were only handed 12 minutes with which to work. Instead of that, Bryan vs. Ziggler was just fluid and incredibly heated from the perspective of the fans. People were clearly still excited from WrestleMania, but they were also damn thrilled to see this pair of workhorses be tasked with opening the wrestling portion of Raw. Sadly, this would be one of Bryan's last big matches of the year, but it'd prove one hell of a note to go out on.
