10 Best WWE Roster "Shake-Up" Moves
5. Kofi Kingston To Raw (2008)
The conveyor belt of incoming talent in 2007-08 had its share of non-factors. The likes of Bam Neely, Gavin Spears (the future Tye Dillinger), Braden Walker, Manu, Ryan Braddock, and others didn't exactly leave a deep footprint on WWE terrain. Kingston first appeared in vignettes on the ECW brand in late 2007, and showed immediate potential in the ring through his form-perfect acrobatics and confident demeanor.
Kingston lasted not even six months in ECW, getting the call to Raw in the supplemental draft. Immediately, Kingston was put over Chris Jericho to win the Intercontinental title. Functionally, Kingston spent the next six or seven years as the modern-day Tito Santana, a reliable upper-midcarder who could work with anyone, but didn't get to have much in the way of his own voice. That changed when The New Day took off in 2015, but the 2008 jump to Raw was Kingston's first experience with the WWE fast-track.
