10 Best WWE Royal Rumble Matches
5. Brock Lesnar Vs. John Cena Vs. Seth Rollins (2015)
Brock Lesnar is better known for his entries in the "short and sweet" genre of wrestling matches than he is for 20-minute-plus classics, but most sensible fans agree this is largely because of booking, not ability. Give him time, and the right ring partners, and he's up there with just about any worker in WWE.
Proof of that can be found in his match at the 2015 Royal Rumble, where he defended the World Heavyweight Title against both John Cena and Money in the Bank holder Seth Rollins, a triple threat so exhilarating that it comfortably dwarfed the eponymous main event that followed.
As the unstoppable champion, the Beast Incarnate was the heart of just about everything the trio did, ostensibly getting taken out by both of his opponents after a coordinated double-team attack before regaining consciousness in the final moments to break up one of the closest near-falls you'll ever see.
It managed to be exciting despite the fact that the result - with Brock preparing for a mega-match with Roman at WrestleMania - was more or less a foregone conclusion. That speaks to the ability of all three competitors, but in particular Paul Heyman's client.
