10 Best WWE Royal Rumble Performances Ever

10. Hulk Hogan - 1989

Throughout the 1980s and into the 90s, Hulk Hogan was the undisputed king of professional wrestling. While many were positioned to possibly take his crown, the Randy Savages and Ultimate Warriors of the world, Hogan remained the biggest attraction and one of the main reasons that WWF became a household name. Hulk Hogan would eventually be a two-time Royal Rumble winner, both in 1990 and 1991, but his most impressive Royal Rumble match came a year before. While the 1989 match was eventually won by Big John Studd, Hulk Hogan eliminated nearly a third of the roster himself. Eliminating nine men is no easy feat, but it€™s even more impressive when Hogan€™s entry number is taken into consideration. The Hulkster entered at #18, and in just over eleven minutes he had eliminated the likes of Mr. Perfect, Randy Savage and Arn Anderson. Hulk Hogan holds another distinction for the 1989 Royal Rumble, he was responsible for the shortest time in a Rumble match for two decades. He eliminated The Warlord in two seconds, clotheslining him back out as soon he entered, and that record would stand for twenty years before Santino Marella would be eliminated in one second at the 2009 Royal Rumble match.
