For a pair of real-life best friends, Triple H and Shawn Michaels had their share of disappointing matches - the Three Stages of Hell bout at Armageddon 2002, for example - or the near-hour-long Hell in a Cell encounter they fought at Bad Blood 18 months later.

Not everything they touched turned to gold, but that's the price you pay when a feud stretches, on-and-off, over the course of more than two years. Anyway, they did produce some magic too.

Shawn's return match at SummerSlam 2002 - the Unsanctioned Street Fight in which he donned a pair of jeans - has gone down as one of the best in the event's history. And then there was the triple threat, alongside Chris Benoit, at WrestleMania XX.
