1. July 25, 2002 - The Best It Ever Got
WWE.comTwo of the biggest stars in the history of professional wrestling teamed up just months after an epic clash at WrestleMania X-8 as The Rock and Hulk Hogan challenged Christian and Lance Storm for the WWE Tag Team Championships. While nothing special in terms of quality, the spectacle of seeing two industry icons partner together for a chance to acquire the tag titles is something special not usually reserved for the blue brand. The duo was unsuccessful in their bid to wrest the titles from the Un-Americans but they did score the disqualification win, ensuring that they would forever remain undefeated as a team. The feud between Edge and Chris Jericho climaxed with a steel cage match between the two in the night's main event. A hard-hitting, bloody bout that saw the future Rated R Superstar pick up the biggest singles victory of his career to that point. It also featured a post-match beatdown of the former tag team star by the aforementioned Christian and Storm. With Jericho, they brutally assaulted Edge until John Cena and Rey Mysterio, who made his triumphant debut earlier in the night with a win over Chavo Guerrero, made the save. It was a great way to cap off the best episode of SmackDown ever and the first indication that the young and talented stars of WWE would have a place to showcase their skills while Raw became more about feeding egos and focusing on talent of years gone by.
