It's arguably the greatest SummerSlam event in history. The main events marked the final appearance for The Ultimate Warrior in his first run with WWE, the debut of Sid Justice, and the in-ring wedding of Macho Man Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. The event also featured multiple historical title changes and memorable moments peppered throughout the event.

It was SummerSlam 1991.

Despite having already retired from the ring (a fact not known to the public prior to SummerSlam '91), Mr. Perfect made a one night return to pass the torch, and the Intercontinental Championship, to Bret "Hitman" Hart in what is arguably the greatest SummerSlam match ever.

The rarely defended Million Dollar Championship became Virgil's when Ted DiBiase was pinned in the middle of the ring. Despite the caricature that Virgil would later become, the Madison Square Garden crowd was solidly behind the former bodyguard and this "title" change was one of the loudest reactions of the night.

Finally, the Legion Of Doom made history by becoming the only tag team in pro-wrestling history to capture the NWA, AWA, and WWF Tag Team Championship by defeating The Nasty Boys in a seldom seen No Disqualification, No Countouts Match.

Plenty more was contained in this event and the 1991 edition showcased SummerSlam's potential to be the best show of the year.
