9. The Real Americans

More than half a decade has passed since Vince McMahon appeared on the Stone Cold Podcast and voiced his concerns about Antonio Cesaro's potential as a future star in WWE. In that time, Cesaro has yet to receive the push that his in-ring talent arguably warrants - but he has proved his worth as a tag-team wrestler time and time again.

Inserting the Swiss Cesaro into Jack Swagger's libertarian patriot gimmick seems like it would've been doomed to fail, but The Real Americans actually made a pretty formidable team together in the ring and elicited a strong reaction from the crowd. Once you get past the fact that motivations may not seem to align, the pair are both great workers, with a mix of strength and technical ability.

These days Cesaro has moved on to repeated success in tag team wrestling, while Swagger is juggling serving as Chris Jericho's muscle as a member of the Inner Circle in AEW and embarking on a burgeoning MMA career in Bellator - but the pair deserved at least a chance with the straps during their short time together.
