10 Best WWE Workers Since 2010

1. Daniel Bryan

Bryan’s career may be over, but he left us with a hell of a lot of great matches to remember him by. Longtime fans knew that The American Dragon was one of the best wrestlers in the world before he joined WWE, but we didn’t know how well he would do within the confines of their system. The legendary tales of The Dragon only continued to grow during this time.

To name just a few highlights, Bryan carried Roman Reigns to perhaps the best match of his career at Fastlane 2015. He gave Bray Wyatt the best match of his career at Royal Rumble 2014. He delivered possibly the greatest SummerSlam main event of all-time with John Cena, and he did stellar work with CM Punk, The Shield and so, so many others.

It wasn’t just Bryan's personality that made him a major star. He possessed an explosive and exciting in-ring style that made you believe that what you were watching was real, if only for one match. We can only imagine how many classics Bryan had in him yet to deliver, but despite retiring early, very few wrestler in WWE history have topped him in terms of purely great matches.

As we get closer to 2020, and with Bryan likely never to step into the ring again, we may have a new top worker at the end of the 2010s, but whoever it is, they still have a lot of work to do if they want to surpass him.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
