10 Best WWE Workers Since 2010
2. CM Punk
Punk absolutely carried WWE on his back during his lengthy titles runs in 2011 to 2013. Not only was he asked to deliver those crazy long promos every single week on Raw, but he was placed in a ton of major TV main events and absolutely busted his a** every time out. It's no wonder the guy got burnt out.
Punk is arguably John Cena’s greatest opponent to date, as together they delivered some of the best matches ever seen in WWE. The electricity of some of those fights has yet to be topped. And before he became a top superstar, he showed a ton of versatility by doing great work with incredibly diverse talent like Jeff Hardy and The Undertaker.
Despite how small Punk is stature-wise for a wrestler, you bought that he could stand toe-to-toe with almost anyone. Even his match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2013 was one of the best we'd seen in years, despite the fact that the former UFC Champ could have torn the UFC hopeful in half in 30 seconds on a bad day. Punk just made you believe.
Hopefully Punk and Vince McMahon are able to come to some sort of agreement on a return. Because as good as he was on the indie scene, and in his first few years in WWE, he became a better, smarter worker as he aged.
He was so good, in fact, that only one person during his tenure was better than him...
