10 Best WWE Workers Since 2010

4. John Cena

Hold on. Don't freak out yet! Let me try and explain.

This may be a very controversial pick, as Cena has a rep for not being a great in-ring worker, but if he’s not, then how has he been in so many classics?

Sure, lousy in-ring main-eventers like Ultimate Warrior and Sid Vicious were carried to a couple of great matches over the course of their careers, but Cena has been in just so damn many of them for someone to dismiss his ability without losing some credibility.

He’s been in brilliant bouts with Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, A.J. Styles, Kevin Owens, Cesaro, Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar since 2010. One guy simply can’t be carried that many times by that many different people, no matter how good the opponents are.

Cena is not the most technical wrestler the WWE roster has seen, and he’s not the most athletic, and he can be kind of awkward in the ring, but he knows how to work a crowd in a way that few other have ever known. He’s been the face of the company in large part due to his ability to deliver time and time again when called upon.

For those who still think he’s a bad worker, go relive his US Open Title challenge with opponents like Stardust, Wade Barrett and Sami Zayn where he was often stealing the show, and revitalizing his career in the process.

So despite his reputation, when looking at sheer great matches from 2010 to 2016, no one has more to their name than Cena.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
