WrestleMania VIII was all set to bring fans a dream match.

Ric Flair had recently debuted in the company for the first time ever. The WCW icon had brought their world championship with him, as well as the eyes of thousands of Southern wrestling fans and the potential for limitless great matches.

One of these matches was the mouth-watering prospect of Flair taking on Hulk Hogan. The face of WCW vs. the face of the WWF. "Take my money!", said 1992 wrestling fans.

Sadly, due to reasons probably involving ego, this match never came to be. Instead, we got Flair taking on Randy Savage for the WWF Championship and Hulk Hogan fighting Sid Justice in the show's main event, because lol Hogan.

The match looked like it was destined for the dumpster, especially when it ended in a disqualification when Papa Shango made a (late) run-in to attack The Hulkster.

Just as fans were practicing their best booing, who should run down and make the save but The Ultimate Warrior, who made his first appearance for the company in nearly eight months.

Warrior's return saved this show from ending on a flat note and seeing Hogan and Warrior celebrate together was enough to make most fans forget they'd just sat through a 12-minute Sid match.
