10 Best WWE Wrestlers Of 2016 (So Far)
4. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn exploded on the scene at the Royal Rumble, where he unloaded with furious vengeance on Kevin Owens and the process, set the stage for the rivalry that would define his first six months of 2016.
Zayn has been trained on Owens, the former best friend who betrayed him in NXT and put an end to his run as that brand's world champion. When injury forced him to the sidelines, Zayn chomped at the bit to get back and avenge the shocking actions of his lifelong confidant.
He did, a measure at least. At WrestleMania, he delivered a sickening suplex on Owens that took the Prizefighter out of a high-profile ladder match and cost him the opportunity to successfully defend his Intercontinental Championship. At Payback, though, he lost their huge singles bout. Still, despite losses in both matches, Zayn's performances were undeniably great.
Motivated by both the moment and the opportunity to etch his name along the greatest to ever compete in WWE, Zayn throws every ounce of energy he has into his matches, ensuring that they leave an impression on fans as some of the best of the night.
Like Cesaro, his win-loss record may be far from sparkling but Zayn is a Superstar just waiting for the opportunity to explode through the glass ceiling and prove himself one of the elite wrestlers in the world.
