10 Best WWE Wrestlers Of 2017 (So Far)

1. AJ Styles

Not only is AJ Styles WWE's finest wrestler so far this year, he's also one of the best wrestlers in the entire industry. Now WWE have embraced Styles as one of their own, he's free to express himself fully, and that's exciting when imagining what AJ has in mind for an upcoming series with Shinsuke Nakamura.

Opening the year with a fine match opposite John Cena at Royal Rumble, Styles then followed that up by tearing the house down against Dean Ambrose 48 hours later on SmackDown. The hits just kept coming for AJ during the opening half of the year too; everyone from Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper to Ambrose and Cena looked better for being in the ring with Styles.

Particularly impressive was his work at WrestleMania 33. Shane McMahon should get some credit, but nowhere near as much as AJ Styles. In a match arguably ill-fitting for the opening slot at 'Mania, AJ salvaged things and showed why he is 100% indispensable to WWE.

Much like Samoa Joe, AJ has also gained confidence during promos and more than held up his end of the verbal bargain during feuds with Cena and McMahon. The little things also stand out with Styles, such as his willingness to sell, sell, sell for any opponent and time his comeback moments expertly.
