10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE Clash Of Champions 2020

1. An Easy Excuse

If you're like this writer and racking your brains over why WWE would resurrect the Ambulance Match for these two when we've literally seen it all before as far as that match goes, then this might be the answer we're looking for. And, unfortunately, it isn't a good one.

The Ambulance stipulation takes its cues from the Casket and Buried Alive matches in that you must throw your opponent into some type of hole or vehicle - in this case, an ambulance - in order to be declared the winner, meaning that you don't have to actually pin them to win the match.

With that in mind, it does sound like the Ambulance Match stipulation is likely just a convenient way to get the WWE Title off Drew McIntyre without him getting pinned.

That would be unfortunate given McIntyre's potential as champion, but given that Orton has taken multiple major losses recently - one of which was to the champion himself - it does seem like things are shifting in his direction. And an Ambulance Match would allow the creative team to give him the title and protect Drew McIntyre at the same time.

In all honesty, it sounds like a bit of a cop-out - especially when McIntyre doesn't need to lose the title yet.
