10 Big Ideas For The Ascension's WWE Main Roster Debut

3. Split The Ascension From Paul Heyman In The Fall, Introduce A New Manager

The Ascension has now been legitimately built up to be one of the most dominant tag teams not only on NXT, but now in the WWE. Having Paul Heyman on as a manager not only gave them success by having the titles since Wrestlemania, but they have also helped re-build the tag team division; which will hopefully be here to stay now instead of just having one feud for the title and a throw away comedy match on Raw. It's hard to speculate on the future of the business a year from now, but you could have Heyman in a General Manager Role for the WWE (I don't think Raw and Smackdown really need to have two separate GM's), or maybe Brock Lesnar is back and in a capacity that he's here more often. Hell, maybe CM Punk will be back by then (kidding). I think six months would be a good run with Paul Heyman as a follow-up to being Lesnar's manager (again if he is not re-signing). As you have seen this past year with Lana, managers still have an important part in the WWE, and much like the Legion Of Doom had Paul Ellering for a long time. Heyman and The Ascension have an amicable split, and a new manager is introduced. Some decent candidates for this role would include: William Regal, The Miz, or maybe someone completely unknown. I personally would like to see Regal as he was the NXT Commissioner through most of the NXT Tag Team Title reign, and can definitely play a heel well.
