10 Big Problems WWE Creative Must Overcome In 2016

8. Removing The Authority

A big part of Raw's staleness is down to the permanent Authority storyline. It initially worked well as part of the Daniel Bryan narrative that paid off so royally at WrestleMania 30, but by the end of 2014, it was as dead as can be. Creative actually booked the faction to be removed at Survivor Series that year, only to then bring it back a month later. Two and a half years after the story started, fans are still stuck with the same old Authority, constantly casting a shadow over Raw. The monotony and constant heel narrative is surely a reason fans are tuning out. But how do you just get rid of such a stable? The problem for creative is the right storyline needs to present itself, and that storyline is likely Seth Rollins turning babyface on Triple H. But with Rollins out injured for months, it could be a long time until The Authority are removed. However, what could happen, is creative move Reigns into the Rollins spot, having him defeat Hunter and ending The Authority at WrestleMania 32. That would be the sensible thing to do. The Authority needs finishing up sooner rather than later, and it is a good spot for Reigns to get cheered in.
