10 Big Questions Coming From WWE Royal Rumble 2015

2. Is Rusev A Big Enough WrestleMania Match For John Cena?

John Cena is the undisputed franchise star for the WWE. He more than anyone draws people to wrestling shows. Despite this, WWE look set to book Cena in the WrestleMania midcard for the second year in a row. He wrestled Bray Wyatt at the 2014 event, and established an angle with Rusev in the Royal Rumble post show which will turn into a match at Mania 31. The pairing with Wyatt last year wasn't such a good idea, as the creative dynamics never really matched. Wyatt was greeted as a face and Cena was just same old Cena. With Rusev, things will be different. This is the good American Cena going against the hated foreign heel. It's an old school creative concept and it should perform very well. You also have the fact that Rusev is undefeated and Cena rarely loses. It'll be a high stakes affair. From a match point of view, Cena is good in big settings and Rusev has shown athletic potential. The WWE should go all the way with Rusev. Put him over Cena and then run him towards the WWE Title. Go even further and put the title on him, thus setting up a star making moment for a new babyface to finally defeat him at SummerSlam. Cena's reward for losing would be the main event of WrestleMania 32 and the chance to go on last in front of 100,000 people. You can be damn sure he'll be wanting to headline that one.
