10 Big Questions Coming From WWE Royal Rumble 2015

1. Is The Fan Fury Going To Hurt WWE Network After #CancelWWENetwork Trended?

In the aftermath of the Royal Rumble disappointment, fans on social media created the #CancelWWENetwork campaign. It quickly turned into the biggest Twitter trend in North America and many fans tweeted photos of their cancellation requests. This actually became so big that the WWE cancellation page crashed. That's embarrassing and also damaging to the WWE's business aims. They need a million subscribers to make the Network break even and were only up to 731,000 subscribers in October. If people are jumping off due to creative decisions, then WWE really need to be correcting their storytelling strategy. However, the fan fury isn't going to damage the WWE Network that much. Fans will still subscribe if the content is good and the simple fact is that content will be good around WrestleMania. Anyone who jumped off will likely jump back in for Mania. In fact, many fans probably strategised to subscribe for the Rumble, unsubscribe for the February show, and then resubscribe for Mania. WWE can gain subscribers just as quickly as they can lose them. Business will pick up and the new documentary alongside another Stone Cold podcast is plenty of reason to stick around!
