3. What Is The Rock's Status With WWE?
The Rock showed up at the Royal Rumble as a favour to the WWE and his cousin Roman Reigns. He was in the area and it really wasn't too much of a big deal. All The Rock had to do was hit the ring and do a little of his babyface act. It was all designed to help get Reigns over as the new major babyface, but unfortunately not even The Rock could sway the disappointed Philly crowd. What this means for The Rock and WWE is probably that he won't be doing anything at WrestleMania. If he was working this year, then it would've been setup at the Rumble. Nothing got established and Rock flew back to Miami straight afterwards. It is also worth pointing out that The Rock "was not at all happy" according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. He was probably upset at how Reigns had been booked in a poisoned chalice spot and how they failed to win the crowd over.
