5. Could It Be That WWE Are Just Trying To Kickstart Something Organic Like Last Year?

One theory about WWE's Rumble booking is that they simply took a laidback attitude of "what will be, will be" and booked Reigns to win. Maybe the booking team were philosophical about it and open to something organic developing like last year. Let's face it, last year's Rumble snub was the best thing to ever happen to Daniel Bryan. And it still sort of worked out for Dave Batista, as he got to headline WrestleMania and he became the most over heel in the company. Maybe WWE figured that the same organic storyline could naturally develop once again. Maybe they'll let the WWE Universe dictate the road to WrestleMania. The publicity generated has already been huge and it will mean so much more if Bryan gets carried back to Mania by the fans rather than the Rumble win. It could be a stroke of genius. Use the Rumble to make Reigns, safe in the knowledge that outcry would also help to establish Bryan as the joint number one contender.
