The biggest question raised by this week's Raw isn't just how much Rollins has been made to look weak, but why. We've seen cowardly heel champions before, superstars willing to do anything to protect their title reign, even if that means swallowing their pride and literally running from the competition. It can often be infuriating, but at least their characters remain consistent. However, the decision to constantly book Seth Rollins as an outright coward is far more baffling. Simply put, Rollins kicks ass. He is consistently the brightest performer on PPVs (his SummerSlam match against Cena a prime example), wowing the crowd with his outrageous offence and athleticism. He launches himself fearlessly into suicide dives and destroys opponents with running powerbombs into the corner of the ring. In the ring, Seth is brave, strong, and generally awesome. Out of it, he suddenly becomes a snivelling coward, always prepared to run. The two personas simply don't add up. Why are the WWE so afraid of making Rollins a strong heel champion? They were fine portraying Brock Lesnar in such a way, so does this all go back to the age-old question of size? It seems unlikely that this issue will be solved any time soon, as Seth's inconsistencies continue to rear their heads with every passing show.
