While there was no involvement from Jason Jordan, there very much was from Smackdown pair Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

The two have renounced their support of SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon in recent weeks, while they bailed on their brand during Raw’s “siege” last Tuesday night. Then, having been left off of the Survivor Series main card, the dissidents decided to take matters into their own hands and go after Shane during the show's Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown main event.

Zayn and Owens emerged at ringside where they beat Shane down, and though their ambush was eventually foiled—thanks largely to a steel chair and Randy Orton—it did suggest that this is a rivalry that looks set to continue for at least a few more weeks.

Don’t be surprised if we get some sort of tag match pitting Zayn and Owens against Shane and Orton in the coming weeks, perhaps even at next month’s Clash of Champions PPV.

Although that would render the show’s name somewhat redundant…
