10 Big WWE Face/Heel That Must Happen In 2018
1. Heel: Shane McMahon
WWE have spent the past few weeks teasing friction between SmackDown's management team. Daniel Bryan isn't best pleased with the way Shane McMahon has handled the Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens situation, but while the narrative has hinted at the General Manager turning, this would be a giant mistake.
Nobody wants to boo Daniel Bryan. He was the most popular wrestler in the company at the time of his retirement, and the extent of his concussion issues have made him more sympathetic than ever before. The thought of him turning is ludicrous.
McMahon must be the one to go heel, as he's already one of SmackDown's most egregious personalities. The company's insistence on booking him as the hardest man in the universe is grating. He's a vain, spotlight-hogging egomaniac who thinks nothing of taking shine from full-time roster members, and while his pay-per-view matches are occasionally fun, it's time to stop pretending that he's some kind of superhero.
Heel authority figures have been done to death, but it makes perfect sense in Shane's situation. Realigning him is the most logical step in his brewing rivalry with his GM, and while the duo will never wrestler, it could lead to a marketable bout against a Bryan proxy.
