10 Big WWE Predictions For The Road To WrestleMania 34
5. Sasha Banks Goes Full 'Boss'
The first ever women's Royal Rumble was a triumphant trek through everything responsible for dragging the scene from niche division to its current importance. In inviting the likes of Trish Stratus and Lita to rub shoulders with the (R)evolution's current stars, WWE successfully traversed the past, present, and future without getting bogged down in any one area, and while winner Asuka made the strongest impression, Sasha Banks wasn't far behind.
For the first time since NXT, Sasha felt like 'The Boss' again. As she butted heads and talked smack to Stratus, she wasn't the showy babyface main roster fans have become accustomed to, but her old, villainous self. Imbued with renewed cunning, swagger, and outright arrogance, she turned on Bayley, her supposed 'best friend,' and commanded the ring like it belonged to her - a sight we haven't seen since her developmental days.
This, coupled with Banks' Boss-like tendencies on Raw 24-hours later, suggests a heel turn is finally on the cards. This is exciting. Sasha is a good babyface, but an outstanding villain, and she has always been more convincing on the dark side of the alignment scale.
Who will she face in New Orleans? A revival of her classic in-ring rivalry with Bayley makes sense, but who'd say no to a heel 'Boss' defending the Raw Women's Championship against Asuka?
