10 Big WWE Predictions For The Road To WrestleMania 35

3. Rest In Peace?

The Undertaker WrestleMania XXIX
WWE

The prospect of The Undertaker not competing at WrestleMania is weird.

'The Deadman' has missed the event just twice since starting his WWE career, his legendary Streak is an integral part of its legacy, and some still pine for a torch-passing match against someone like Finn Balor. But Father Time has caught the 53-year-old. His big, broken body is falling to pieces, and after somehow willing himself through five matches in 2018, 'Taker's time to rest is fast approaching.

Retirement rumours do the rounds every year. They're easy to dismiss as a result, but the evidence has never been more compelling. An administrative flub saw Undertaker's name leaked as a potential Hall of Fame 2019 headliner a few weeks ago, and WWE don't induct active in-ring competitors. On top of this, there's talk that he doesn't have anything lined up on the current WrestleMania 35 card, and while plans do change, that WWE have nothing for a guy whose match they'd usually prioritise speaks volumes.

Let's assume the smoke has fire this time, and say 'Taker confirms his retirement ahead of WrestleMania, and appears on the pay-per-view only as a HOF inductee.
