10 Big WWE Predictions For The Road To WrestleMania 37
9. Edge Chooses Roman Reigns
Edge vs. Drew McIntyre is marketable. The theoretical star of today vs. a theoretical star of yesterday pushing each other to the limit in a respectfully competitive babyface vs. babyface feud, shaking hands and hugging before and after they try to knock each other off at WrestleMania 37. It'd be distinct from last year's top title programmes and the match would almost certainly rule as well.
But it's not as compelling as Edge vs. Roman Reigns.
Character-wise, this is perfect. Edge is a damaged 47-year-old with a bad neck, arm, and lord knows what else, who has gutted his way through a decade of extreme adversity to regain his seat at the table. Sat opposite him is a brutal, domineering heel, cruel and cold enough to extinguish the fairytale to maximum effect. There's nobody better to put Edge against because he and Reigns are polar opposites and we know from their first SmackDown showdown that the promos are going to be fire. It's not a no-brainer, but it's some kind of brainer.
Edge will pick McIntyre after Elimination Chamber 2021 and the world will lick its lips.
